As announced in the government of the Russian Federation, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia will once again analyze the prices for PCR tests for coronavirus.

The Cabinet of Ministers responded to the request of the State Duma Security Committee. The deputies drew attention to the fact that clinics charge 1,500 rubles and more for the tests, their cost being 150 to 300 rubles.

In addition, pricing will have to be analyzed by two other Duma committees: the Committee on Industry and the Committee on the Protection of Competition.

This summer, at the instruction of the country’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the FAS of the Russian Federation checked how Russian private companies and laboratories set prices for PCR tests for COVID-19. No violations were detected.
