According to Reuters, Indian vaccine manufacturer Bharat Biotech said that the situation around the Russian special operation in Ukraine has not yet affected the company’s supply chain.
Unlike several Western companies, such as McDonald’s, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, and Starbucks, which have ceased sales or operations in Russia, not a single Indian company has made a public exit from the region.
Several Indian pharmaceutical companies export medicines to Russia. Their sales in the country from April to December last year reached $386 million, or 15% of the total exports to the country.
Earlier, Indian pharmaceutical major Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories said it was focused on business continuity of supplies to Russia. The heads of Torrent Pharma and Zydus Lifesciences believe that currently the situation in Ukraine is not affecting sales.
