The Federal Center for Animal Health Protection (FSBI “VNIIZZh”), subordinate to Rosselkhoznadzor, has created Duoscide, a two-component veterinary disinfectant, which can be used for disinfection of equipment surfaces, transport and premises for veterinary purposes, including in conditions of low ambient temperature (up to -40°C), VNIIZZh press service reports.

Objects can be disinfected with the new product by spraying it on the surface, immersion in the product, or by wiping surfaces with it (with a 10-minutes exposure).

The product is effective against a wide range of pathogens of infectious diseases of cowse, small ruminants, pigs, poultry and other farm animals, including pathogens of such economically important diseases as African swine fever, pruritus, avian influenza, etc. The product can be used for disinfection of premises (in the absence of animals), during the processing of transport (including international transport) and cargo (requiring storage at low temperatures), as well as for veterinary equipment.

The developed drug is a valuable tool for ensuring compliance with the veterinary and sanitary regime both for agricultural enterprises and veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
