Amendments to Russia’s laws concerning the production of vital and essential drugs (VED) from blood plasma came into force on October 1. This is reported on the website of the State Duma.
“Russian pharmaceutical companies that use blood plasma for the production of vital and essential drugs will no longer depend on imported raw materials and will receive the necessary components faster. It is also prohibited to export donated blood received in Russia outside the country, with the exception of humanitarian aid,” the message says.
It is also allowed to import plasma into the Russian Federation for the production of drugs and medical devices in compliance with the EAEU rules.
