The flu drug Nomides (INN Oseltamivir) won the second place in Russian Pharma Awards, the press service of Pharmasyntez reports.

“A victory in Russian Pharma Awards shows recognition by the most demanding audience — doctors. About 430,000 doctors used the Doctor at Work communication platform to participate in the voting,” the company said in its statement. The award ceremony was held on November 24 at the Soho Rooms in Moscow.

Nomides is indicated for the treatment of influenza in adults and children over the age of one year. Nomides (INN oseltamivir) significantly reduces the duration of symptomatic influenza and its severity, as well as the risk of complications, shortens the time before the body stops releasing the virus. The drug has to be administered no later than 40 hours after the appearance of the first symptoms of the disease.

To date, Nomides is the only drug with INN oseltamivir on the Russian market. It is available in two forms: powder for suspension preparation in volumes of 10 g, 15 g and 30 g, and capsules of 30, 45, and 75 mg.

Another Pharmasyntez drug, NSAID Etorelex (INN Etoricoxib), had the fourth place in the category “Therapy of severe pain syndrome in osteoarthritis” in this popular award in the field of pharmacy and medicine.
