Moscow has allocated more than 800 m rubles for the development of import-substituting industries, according to the Telegram channel of Sergei Sobyanin, the capital’s mayor. Companies that have received such grants may use these funds to compensate for the costs of buying real estate or connecting to utility networks. They can also be used to purchase equipment, software, or pay salaries to employees.

With the grant of 100 m rubles, Gem intends to create an import-substituting production of special discs with antibiotics that are necessary for microbiological research. The discs will ensure optimal antimicrobial therapy prescription to patients. The tests are used to increase the effectiveness of antibiotics use in the treatment of infections, and they are needed to determine microbial resistance to antibiotics.

The Russian government will allocate a grant of about 70 bn rubles to the Circle of Kindness Foundation to support children with serious diseases, as it was reported in December 2022.
