The Circle of Kindness Foundation announced on its websitehttps://фондкругдобра.рф/поставщики-уведомили-фонд-о-невозмож/ that it is unable to supply two drugs from its list, metreleptin and lomitapide. The impossibility of supplying the drugs was stated by suppliers. The drugs will be temporarily excluded from the list of procurement, and the Foundation will appeal to the Ministry of Health with a request to help resume the supply of the therapies.
Having been notified on the impossibility of supplies, the Foundation has appealed to all major suppliers, but so far it has not resolved the issue of organizing the supply of metreleptin, a therapy for homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia to Russia. For example, Pharmamondo has stated that the supply of metreleptin and lomitapid to the Russian Federation is currently not possible, the Foundation reports. One of the reasons mentioned is the change of the owner of Amryt manufacturing company.
Pharmstandart in its letter said that, at the initiative of Amryt, “the signing of contracts for the supply of unregistered medicines metreleptin and lomitapide has been suspended until further notice, and, therefore, Pharmstandart will not be able to supply these drugs.”
The Circle of Kindness Foundation has suspended the processing of applications and the provision of the medicines until further notice. They will be temporarily excluded from the list of procurement, and the Foundation will appeal to the Ministry of Health with a request to assist in the resumption of supplies of these drugs.
