Promomed Group has initiated the construction of a workshop for the production of antitumor drugs in Saransk. It is planned that the enterprise, in which 4.7 billion rubles is going to be invested, will be located at Biokhimik plant, according to a publication on the website of the Government of the Republic of Mordovia.

In addition to the construction of the workshop, the Group plans several more projects in Mordovia. This is, in particular, the launch of the production of active pharmaceutical substances, with a capacity of 340 tons per year and a product range of 150 drugs. It is said that the facility will become one of the largest pharmaceutical substation production plants in Russia, with 3.5 bn rubles invested in the implementation of the project.

The group also announced its intention to put into operation a site for the production of medicines in the form of lyophilizates, with a production capacity of more than 4 million vials per year.  Investments in this project are estimated at 1.2 billion rubles.

In December 2022, Biokhimik plant opened a high-tech tablet production. The enterprise, which was opened, among other things, due to concerns that the supply of medicines from abroad will discontinue, has a capacity of 1 billion tablets per year.
