Russian enterprises have the potential to increase the export of mineral fertilizers, said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov during St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)-2023. In addition, the Ministry is working to expand sales markets.

In particular, Russia continues to expand its exports to the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. “This is facilitated by training local farmers in effective fertilizer application techniques, as well as developing mixtures suitable for a particular region,” the official explained.

Speaking about the increase in the volume of export deliveries of mineral fertilizers, Manturov added that special attention is paid to those companies “who signed special investment contracts in a timely manner and are engaged in modernization.”

In May 2023, the Government of the Russian Federation extended until November 30 quotas for the export of mineral fertilizers from the country. This will allow producers to export unclaimed balances.
