Russia will provide Africa with 10 mobile laboratories as part of its infection control program

During a plenary session of the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia’s commitment to assisting the African continent in combatting infections would involve the dispatch of hundreds of specialists and the provision of 10 mobile laboratories by 2026.

“A comprehensive program to combat infections has been meticulously developed, spanning until 2026, with a generous allocation of 1.2 billion rubles. Within its framework, 10 mobile, trained hundreds of specialists were delivered in the country of the continent, joint research was carried out,” he said.

According to him, in recent months, Russia has transferred two mobile laboratories to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Furthermore, President Putin highlighted that the Russian-Guinean center for the research of infections in Kindia (is the fourth largest city in Guine) has been continuously furnished, resulting in the development of over 20 cutting-edge diagnostic products.
