On the portal for posting public initiatives of citizens of the Russian Federation, a proposal has appeared to increase the network of round-the-clock pharmacies. According to the authors of the initiative, points of uninterrupted sale of medicines should be present in every locality with three to five thousand inhabitants.

In addition to improving access to medicines, the prospects also include alleviating the burden on ambulance teams, fostering business growth, and generating new employment opportunities. The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has been invited to create and implement a bill that aims to establish legal guidelines for round-the-clock duty pharmacies. As the authors of the project believe, this will require, in particular, the maintenance of a special register.
