During a crucial conference on food security, the chairman of the government of the Russian Federation, also informally known as the prime minister, the head of government of Russia, emphasized the urgent need to enhance breeding research and advance the development of agrobiotechnologies.
“It is necessary to establish selection and genetic research taking into account the needs of livestock breeding, and also to increase the production of commercial aquaculture, given that in the first six months of this year we see an increase in fish farming,” said the Prime Minister at a strategic session on food security.
