Whooping cough vaccines available in all regions of Russia, says Ministry of Health

According to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Health, the vaccination campaign against whooping cough is being carried out smoothly in all regions of the country. So far this year, nearly 5 million doses of the vaccine have been administered, with a remaining supply of 3.7 million doses.

“Multivalent preparations for vaccination against whooping cough are available in all regions of our country. According to the labeling system, their balances amount to more than 3.7 million doses,” the report notes.

The latest reports indicate that Nanolek, a Russian company, is planning to conduct tests on children and adolescents in 2024 for their vaccine targeting the human papillomavirus (HPV). The effect of the drug has already been studied in adult patients, and the results have been promising.
