Moscow technopolis residents invested 160 billion rubles to the city’s economy

The volume of investments of companies operating in the special economic zone (SEZ) technopolis “Moscow” in the city’s economy over 18 years has exceeded 160 billion rubles, said the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin.
“The Technopolis Moscow special economic zone is 18 years old. Since its creation, the territory of the SEZ has grown significantly and today includes six sites – that’s more than 200 enterprises, 16.3 thousand jobs. “During its existence, the total volume of investments by companies in the city’s economy exceeded 160 billion rubles,” Sobyanin wrote.
The mayor stressed the significance of the SEZ in manufacturing crucial import-substituting items such as microelectronics, medical equipment, medications, unmanned aerial systems. Additionally, the SEZ is dedicated to the advancement of new materials, energy-efficient solutions, and software development.Last year alone, 35 new production facilities were opened in the SEZ.
“Among the main advantages of special economic zones are tax preferences for high-tech enterprises with resident status. Such companies are exempt from paying property, transport and land taxes for 10 years. The income tax rate for them is only 2%,” the mayor added.
