Governor of the Kostroma Region Sergei Sitnikov and General Director of JSC Ortat Olga Golovkina inspected the new laboratory building, built on the basis of the enterprise with the support of regional authorities. Its launch is scheduled for the second quarter of 2024, reports the press service of the R-Pharm Group of Companies.
The new R-Pharm lab complex with advanced equipment will speed up drug production and increase the range at Kostroma plant. Currently, commissioning and qualification work is underway in the laboratory complex.
“Every year the plant produces more than 10 million packages, and drug import substitution is developing. The assortment includes 60 types of medicines, including those included in the list of vital drugs. This is a big step in the development of the largest pharmaceutical enterprise in the Kostroma region,” emphasized Sergei Sitnikov.
“The launch of our own research laboratories on the basis of Ortat expands the company’s capabilities to provide the healthcare system with in-demand drugs and duly reflects the efforts of the R-Pharm group of companies to strengthen the country’s drug safety,” noted Olga Golovkina.
The discussion also focused on staffing issues, specifically the importance of attracting young specialists – such as chemists, biologists, and engineers who are being educated at regional universities – to the enterprise.
