In 2023, Moscow’s offset contracts with pharmaceutical companies resulted in the supply of over 830 thousand packages of medicines to the city. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about this.
“In total, 17 offset contracts have already been concluded in the capital. Thanks to them, Moscow will receive about 87 billion rubles in investment and more than 6,500 jobs,” he said. Of the total, eight contracts were concluded with pharmaceutical companies, in particular Biocad, R-Pharm and Welfarm.
Thanks to offsets, the city is launching the production of antiglaucoma, antitumor, and analgesic drugs. In addition, according to the eighth offset signed in 2024, it is planned to produce antidepressants, antipsychotics and other drugs under 43 INNs.
“Offset advantages: in 2023 alone, thanks to such contracts, the city received more than 830 thousand packages of medicines. Offsets are a special way of interaction between the capital and business. Investors are launching the production of key goods in Moscow, and the city, in turn, guarantees their purchase for many years,” Sobyanin said in a statement.
