In 2023, Russia achieved a significant milestone by successfully initiating the production of various types of medical equipment that were previously unavailable in the country. At the Forum of Future Technologies, taking place on February 13-14 at the World Trade Center in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin made this announcement.
“Thanks to the developments of leading scientists and doctors, specialists [in 2023], the production of many types of domestic equipment for cardiovascular surgery, as well as for resuscitation, rehabilitation, diagnostics, and genetic <…> diseases began for the first time,” he said.
In addition, according to him, 530 new Russian-made drugs were registered last year. “We have significant achievements, but we certainly need to move on and continue this work,” the president noted.
