The results of the competitive selection for funding under the city program to support scientific developments and innovations in the field of medicine were addressed by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. As a result of the competition, 34 Moscow medical institutions will receive grants from the city. An impressive sum of 2 billion rubles has been allocated to contribute to the advancement of state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment methods, as well as the implementation of cutting-edge innovations in healthcare across Moscow.
As the official explained, the project implementation period ranges from one to three years. The program was launched in 2022, funds for grants come from the city budget annually. “Over two years, the city supported 142 breakthrough research by metropolitan doctors with grants. Over 20 projects have already passed the piloting stage and have proven their effectiveness in clinical practice,” Sobyanin said.
