On February 13, during a plenary meeting, Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chairman of the State Duma, announced the formation of a working group dedicated to addressing the quality of specialized education for doctors and teachers. Due to the shortage of graduates in regional universities, particularly in the fields of medicine and teaching, a crucial measure has been implemented to address this pressing issue.
“In April we will get into specifics. Teachers, doctors, who are missing in schools, hospitals. We will discuss how to create conditions to attract them and increase the prestige of the profession. <…> We need to discuss these issues and ask those who are responsible for this how they are going to solve this problem,” the State Duma press service quotes Volodin.
