As part of the “Moscow Rheumatologists’ School” project, a scientific symposium on disease-modifying therapy for osteoarthritis, entitled “Modern Definitions and Place in Clinical Recommendations,” was held in Moscow on April 6, as organized by the Sotex company. More than 120 people took part in the event.
Dr. Alena Zagrebneva presented the report on treating pain in hip and knee osteoarthritis, considering the updated requirements of the Code of Culture for Coxarthrosis and Gonarthrosis.
Elena Simonova presented the results of a study on the effect of parenteral chondroitin sulfate on pathological neoangiogenesis in her report.
Professor Olga Gromova presented doctors with the latest world news on the safety of chondroitin and glucosamine molecules in patients with osteoarthritis and concomitant diseases in the report “Oncoprotective effects of chondroprotectors (glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate).”
The doctors showed interest in the information presented, as evidenced by numerous questions and a lively discussion, Sotex reported.
