The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Bahrain signed a memorandum of understanding in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The agreement was announced by the press after the respective Health Ministers, Mikhail Murashko and Abdel Latif bin Rashid al-Zayani, put their signatures on the document.
The parties intend to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of healthcare such as:
- primary health care;
- prevention and control of infectious and non-infectious diseases;
- protection of maternal and child health;
- implementation of digital technologies in healthcare;
- turnover of medicines and medical products;
- research activities in the field of health;
- medical education and retraining of specialists.
