The Moscow region’s company Shchelkovo Agrokhim is set to boost the production of plant protection products with the launch of a new workshop. The facility will produce more than 20 thousand tons of products per year – fungicides, insecticides and seed protectants. According to the General Director of the company, Salis Karakotov, the new workshop will increase Russia’s total industrial capacity by 15%.
The area of the facility is almost 5000 sq. m. The expansion of production involved investments totaling 1.8 billion rubles, with 950 million being provided as a preferential loan from the Federal Industrial Development Fund.
Additionally, Shchelkovo Agrokhim is currently developing a workshop dedicated to the production of essential components used in the creation of plant protection products. By localizing this process, they aim to reduce reliance on imported materials from China and India. Its launch is scheduled for 2025.
