The prices of Russian drugs increased by 4.3% in 2023

In 2023, prices for Russian medicines increased by 4.3% compared to the previous year, while vital and essential drugs rose in price by 0.6%. The director of the Federal State Institution “State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices” (also known as FSI “SID & GP”), Vladislav Shestakov, discussed this during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
“If we look at the official data that guides our work at our analytical center, we can see that the price of domestic medicines increased by 4.3% when comparing 2022 to 2023,” he stated. Additionally, he noted that the entire market for both imported and domestic drugs grew by 5.4%.
