Russia has launched its inaugural center for Omics technologies, situated within the Moscow Center for Innovative Technologies in Healthcare. Deputy Mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakova announced that the new organization grants research teams nationwide access to essential infrastructure.
She noted that the “Omics Technologies” center for collective use is a state-of-the-art research facility featuring advanced equipment valued at over 160 million rubles, including:
  • mass spectrometers of various types,
  • genetic analyzers,
  • high-performance sequencers of the latest generation.
Omics technologies allow generating and analyzing significant arrays of biomedical data, including complete genomic sequencing and comprehensive analysis of human biomolecules. The use of these methods is aimed at developing personalized medicine, improving diagnostic approaches and identifying pathologies at the preclinical stage.
