The Ministry of Education of the Voronezh Region will grant 50 million rubles to Voronezh State University to establish an innovative research center. As reported by the university’s press service, the new center will be situated within the pharmaceutical faculty and is set to commence operations in 2025.
The center will focus on R&D in pharmaceuticals, food, and veterinary medicine, with two divisions: technological and analytical. Currently, the pharmaceutical faculty of VSU has a preclinical research laboratory where developments are tested.
Research at the new facility will focus on developing innovative drugs and products from natural raw materials, especially amaranth, which is rich in valuable substances like squalene, vitamins, and polyunsaturated fatty acids. The center will focus on creating specialized food products, like baby and dietary food, and developing feed additives and premixes for livestock.
