For the first time, a Russian flu vaccine has received high recognition at the international level: the Flu-M preparation has successfully passed WHO prequalification. This innovative product, created through the joint efforts of Saint Petersburg Scientific Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums of the FMBA of Russia and the Latin-American Institute of Biotechnology MECHNIKOV in Nicaragua, can now be purchased by leading UN organizations, including PAHO and UNICEF.

The uniqueness of Flu-M lies in its composition: it is a trivalent inactivated vaccine without adjuvants, containing a precisely calibrated amount of hemagglutinin of each viral strain. Thanks to advanced production technology, an unprecedented degree of purification has been achieved: the concentration of ovalbumin is a thousand times lower than that of competing drugs.
