The Russian market for enuresis medications is demonstrating steady growth, driven by both higher consumer demand and the replenishment of supplies for previously scarce drugs. Thus, according to the RNC Pharma analytical company, in the first half of 2025, Russians purchased more than 1 million packages of such medicines worth over 1.1 billion rubles. In monetary terms, the y-o-y growth was 22.5%, while in natural units it was 17.1%.
As analysts noted, sales volumes of this group of drugs have been increasing at double-digit rates for the third consecutive year. Thus, in 2024, a total of 1.9 million packages were sold, valued at 1.89 billion rubles, representing a 14% increase in the number of packages and a 21% rise in revenue compared to 2023.
Sales traditionally peak in the spring and the end of the year. In December 2024, 185,000 packages worth 189.4 million rubles were sold. In 2025, the highest figures were recorded in March, with 180,000 packages, and in April, with sales amounting to 186.7 million rubles.
Analysts report that among just seven INNs in the market, solifenacin is the leading product, capturing 45% in monetary terms and 55% in physical terms. The INN mirabegron has the second largest sales, represented solely by the brand Betmiga from Astellas. This drug also leads all brands in the category, holding a market share of 34.4% in terms of rubles.
Experts observed that, apart from Novitropan (oxybutynin) from Imperial Chemical Industries, nearly all participants in the top 10 experienced a positive sales trend. The highest rates were for Pfizer’s Toviaz (fesoterodine fumarate). Its sales growth increased 104 times compared to the first half of 2024. According to analysts, this increase is attributed to the recovery of supplies following a shortage in 2023, when only 2,200 packages entered the market.
Earlier, RNC Pharma reported that sales of diarrhea products in Russia increased to 22.6 billion rubles in the first half of 2025, reflecting a 16.7% rise y-o-y. However, in physical terms, sales declined by 1.5%, with Russians purchasing 65.5 million packages of these products. Experts noted that the downward trend in this segment has been observed for the third year in a row.
