Robotic systems are being implemented in Moscow’s medical institutions, including for providing patients with medications, reports the official website of the capital’s mayor and government.
According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, robotic complexes are currently operating in 13 city healthcare institutions. In five, robots help deliver goods within and between hospital buildings, including medicines, documents, food, and medical products. In nine hospitals, including the Morozovskaya and Kommunarka, robotic pharmacies have been launched, which handle the acceptance, storage, and packaging of medications.
Furthermore, in three medical institutions, robots provide patient consultation and routing. Among such complexes is the domestic consultant robot Promobot. It can move at a speed of 20 cm per second and operate autonomously for up to 10 hours. Built-in face recognition systems and voice assistants allow the robot to communicate effectively with users, identify visitors, and respond to verbal requests.
