The Advanced Group, founded by Indian businessman Rajesh Sharma, will build a pharmaceutical plant worth over 2.5 billion rubles in the special economic zone “Dubna” near Moscow. The project implementation will take 6 years, GxP News was informed by the economic zone’s press service.
“The project involves the development and production of medicines for the treatment of socially significant diseases, including anti-cancer drugs, the production of antibacterial and anti-tuberculosis agents, as well as drugs for the treatment of HIV infection, diabetes mellitus, and cardiovascular diseases,” the statement said.
“This year, Advanced Dubna intends to complete design work and begin construction of the first phase of production and engineering facilities,” the press service reported, noting that the company is not the only representative of Indian pharma in Dubna. PSK Pharma, an enterprise with Indian participation, already operates there.
The Advanced Group has been present on the Russian pharmaceutical market since 2003 and has undertaken projects to modernize and create production facilities in the Perm Krai and Belgorod Oblast. This week, it became known about the group’s plans to modernize its production in the Perm village of Kuyeda. The 595 million ruble project is planned to be implemented between 2026 and 2030.
