On 26 June in Moscow, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Federal State Institution “State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices” (FSI “SID & GP”) and the National Agency for Pharmaceutical Products of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria (ANPP).

The memorandum aims to establish long‑term cooperation to develop friendly relations between Russia and Algeria in pharmaceutical inspection, focused on verifying compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Under the agreement, the parties intend to cooperate on pharmaceutical regulation, particularly GMP, including joint training programmes, advisory support and the exchange of professional information.

The document was signed by Vladislav Shestakov, director of GILS and NP, and Director General Dr. Chérif Delih.

“I am confident that today’s memorandum lays a solid foundation for long‑term and mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Algeria in pharmaceutical regulation and GMP. It opens a new chapter in our bilateral pharmaceutical partnership,” said Vladislav Shestakov.

Earlier, at SPIEF 2026, GILS and NP signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
