The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has authorized inspections in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to ensure that drug manufacturers comply with the requirements for proper production practices (GMP) remotely, the EEC reports.

“The decision establishes the possibility of conducting inspections on the compliance of drug manufacturers with the requirements of the GMP Union remotely using the means of video and audio presence of inspectors, without the inspection team leaving for the site”, the statement said.

The commission’s decision, published on the EAEU legal portal, applies to all legal relations that have arisen since January 1, 2021. The remote introduction checks allows not to interrupt pharmaceutical inspection procedures in pandemic conditions.
