Russia has already produced almost 6.5 million doses of two Sputnik V vaccine components for today, said the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov at a briefing of the organization of coronavirus vaccine production.
In January, 7 million doses at least should be produced, in February – 11 million, and 15 million doses are planned for March, the Minister noted.
“By the end of January, 2.1 million doses will provide the regions, in February we expect to send 5.7 million doses, and almost 9 million in March. At the same time, we are based on fact that the momentum and prepared production will increase the production volumes”, said Denis Manturov.
According to him, seven sites were originally chosen for the production of vaccines, six of which are already functioning.
“This is the site of the Gamalei Institute, three production sites of the Generium, Biocad and Binnopharm companies. And by the end of the month, R-Farm will join the work. At the same time, we focus on the fact that EpiVacKorona by Vector Center will be produced in February. We have connected our pharmaceutical company Gerofarm to this work, which today is already developing protein volumes for the needs of Vector itself, the minister said.
He argues that equipment and other related products for the drugs production are available, due to timely contracts.
