Sputnik V registered in the Maldives

The Russian Direct Investment Fund announces the registration of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the Republic of Maldives, the fund said.

Thus, Sputnik V is registered in 65 countries with a total population of over 3.2 billion people. Registration was carried out as part of the accelerated procedure (emergency use authorization, EUA).

Post-vaccination studies in a number of countries demonstrate that Sputnik V is the safest and most effective anti-COVID19 vaccine, the RDIF says. In terms of the number of approvals received by state regulators, Sputnik V ranks second in the world.

“The Sputnik V vaccine has been used to combat coronavirus in dozens of countries and has already become one of the recognized global tools for combating the pandemic. Maldives are among the most popular tourist destinations. The use of Sputnik V will preserve the normal rhythm of life and economic activity in the country and avoid serious coronavirus restrictions in the future, “said Kirill Dmitriev, general director of the fund.

The use of the Sputnik V vaccine has also been approved in Russia, Belarus, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Paraguay, Turkmenistan, Hungary, the UAE, Iran, the Republic of Guinea, Tunisia, Armenia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Republika Srpska (entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina), Lebanon, Myanmar, Pakistan, Mongolia, Bahrain, Montenegro, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Gabon, San Marino, Ghana, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Guyana, Egypt, Honduras, Guatemala, Moldova, Slovakia, Angola, Djibouti, Republic of the Congo, Sri Lanka, Laos, Iraq, North Macedonia, Kenya, Morocco, Jordan, Namibia, Azerbaijan, Philippines, Cameroon, Seychelles, Mauritius, Vietnam, Antigua and Barbuda, Mali, Panama, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Turkey and Albania.
