The authorities of San Marino have not received reports of side effects after vaccination with the Russian drug Sputnik V. It was told in an interview with TASS by the Minister of Tourism of the Republic Federico Pedini Amati.

“I must say that Sputnik V has not caused any reaction either among the residents of San Marino, or even among the guests whom we vaccinated,” the representative of the republic said. He added that in only one case there was a “very weak reaction.” “We launched vaccination tourism about a week ago. To date, we have had at least 300 reservations, “said Pedini Amati.

The minister noted that due to the supply of the Russian drug, the republic was “in a privileged position” in terms of tourism. “Some hotels are already booked for the whole of July and August,” he said. – We also introduced a “holiday voucher,” which is not the same as vaccination tourism. He will allow anyone to come to San Marino and take advantage of the offer “Come for three nights in San Marino, pay for one.” The offer will be valid in all hotels, said Pedini Amati.

In total, according to the minister, at least 42 thousand people received the first dose of the vaccine, 25 thousand were vaccinated completely (received both doses). Pedini Amati emphasized that most of those vaccinated in the republic were vaccinated with a Russian drug.

On May 12, San Marino authorities announced the possibility of vaccinating foreigners with Sputnik V. Pedini Amati said that this proposal is for everyone who does not live in Italy. Another agreement is for  Italian citizens and does not include Sputnik V.
