Sales of vitamin D3 in Russia went up by 50 % in the first half of September 2021 compared to the same period last year, up to 832,937 packages, according to data from the DSM Group, TASS reports.
Analysts compared the sales volume for the periods from August 30 to September 12, 2021 and from August 31 to September 13, 2020. During this time, the volume of sales of vitamin D3 in rubles increased by 62.6%, to 280.8 million rubles. Sales of vitamin D3 in early September compared to August 16-29, 2021 increased by 17.6% in packages and by 20.7% in rubles.
According to DSM Group, sales of all vitamins in Russia increased by 2.1% in early September 2021 compared to the same period last year and by 13.4% compared to the second half of August, up to 6.9 million packages. Sales in rubles increased by 25.1% and 11.9%, respectively, to 1.6 billion rubles.
Analysts also reported that in the first half of September 2021, more than 42.2 million packages of medicines for the treatment of respiratory diseases and antimicrobials were sold in Russia, which is 19.4% more than in the second half of August 2021, and 4.1% less than in the same period last year.
