Rospotrebnadzor has suggested reducing the time given for the processing of coronavirus tests from 48 to 24 hours from the moment the material entered the laboratory. The corresponding draft amendments to the sanitary and epidemiological rules were published on the federal portal of draft rules and laws.
“The time limit for performing a laboratory test for COVID-19 must not exceed 24 hours, from the moment when the biological material was delivered to the laboratory until the result is given to the person who had the test taken,” the document says.
Currently, the time limit for performing a coronavirus test is 48 hours from the moment the material was delivered to the laboratory.
It was reported earlier that free express testing for coronavirus has been launched in Moscow.
