According to Aleksandr Gintsburg, director of the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology, the only side effect after vaccination from COVID-19 in adolescents was fever.
“The side effects were absolutely insignificant, in the form of a slight body temperature rise the day after vaccination. The maximum rise was to 37.4°C. No more side effects were detected in the teenagers participating in the trial,” Gintsburg said on Rossiya 24 channel.
On November 11, it became known that in Moscow, ten polyclinics and two children’s hospitals began the third phase of the clinical trial of Sputnik M, a coronavirus vaccine for adolescents. The participants will be 3,000 city residents aged 12 to 17.
