Automatic passenger pass systems will appear In 99 border checkpoints of the Russian Federation under the Sanitary Shield federal project, the implementation of which will begin in January 2022. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova during Vladimir Putin’s meeting with the members of the government.

“In January 2022, we are starting the implementation of the Sanitary Shield federal project, which involves equipping 99 checkpoints at the state border with an automatic passenger pass system, as well as mobile devices for reading data on persons arriving in the Russian Federation,” TASS quotes Golikova as saying.

The Sanitary Shield program will include several directions: from ensuring a sufficient supply of personal protective equipment and effective test systems to creating high-quality vaccines within the shortest possible time, Tatyana Golikova said earlier.

The Ministry of Finance proposed to bring the Sanitary Shield project to the global level.
