A list of agreements of the Russian Federation with international organizations has been sent to the State Duma for consideration for their possible denunciation. This was announced by Pyotr Tolstoy, deputy speaker of the Lower Chamber.
“The Foreign Ministry has sent a list of such agreements to the State Duma, and together with the Federation Council we plan to analyze them and propose their denunciation. Russia has withdrawn from the Council of Europe, and the next step now is to withdraw from the WTO (World Trade Organization) and the WHO (The World Health Organization), who have neglected all their obligations to our country, Interfax quotes Tolstoy as saying.
According to him, “there is work to be done on the revision of international commitments and treaties that today do not bring any benefits but create immediate damage to the country.”
The WHO earlier adopted a resolution on the possible closure of the European office in Moscow.
