Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Federal State Agency for Health and Consumer Rights) responded to the report of the charity foundation “Live Now” claiming problems with the supply of ventilators for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 40 regions of the Russian Federation. The agency refuted reports about delays in the supply of medical equipment and medical devices to those in need, TASS reports.

All citizens’ appeals are considered promptly, according to the press service of Roszdravnadzor. It is clarified that the Agency did not receive appeals from patients with ALS with a request to issue ventilators in 2023, and only one such appeal was registered in the past year. The issue was resolved immediately.

“Roszdravnadzor controls the provision of all patients, including those with ALS, with the necessary medicines and medical devices,” Roszdravnadzor stated. It is noted that “problems are solved within a few days (or a few hours, in case of urgent need).”
