According to Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, the current supply of donor plasma in the country is deemed adequate. He added that medical institutions have their needs for blood and its components met in full. During the All-Russian scientific and practical conference “Transfusiology in Dialogue with Time,” this statement was made by the official.

Murashko did not provide a clear timeframe when discussing the availability of blood and plasma. However, it is noteworthy that around 400,000 plasma donations were made in 2022, resulting in a staggering total of approximately 900,000 liters prepared. Almost 1.4 million people donated blood and its components in 2022, of which more than 117 thousand people donated plasma.
