Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko stated the importance of close interaction between the healthcare systems of the CIS countries. He contends that the COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the necessity for states to actively share experts, updated treatment guidelines for different illnesses, and guarantee unrestricted access to educational resources for remote learning. During the ongoing meeting in Bishkek, he voiced his opinion within the Council for Cooperation in the Field of Health of the CIS Member States.
“The unprecedented challenge of COVID-19 has shown how effectively we can collaborate when the healthcare system faces a particular challenge. Exchange of specialists, joint management of patients, new guidelines for the treatment of patients, updated regularly. Of course, open access to information resources on distance learning. All this allows us to interact in a new way,” the official said.
