Since its launch in 2022, 12 pharmaceutical companies have benefited from the Moscow support program for clinical drug trials. They are testing 52 drugs in 14 therapeutic areas, said Moscow Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova.
The program was launched with the aim of preventing product shortages under sanctions pressure. The city provides organizational and financial assistance to enterprises that conduct clinical trials on the basis of Moscow institutions.
Rakova added that today, of all the studies conducted in Russia, 57% are carried out in Moscow. 42 applications were received for organizational support measures, another eight for financial support, and the remaining two for both of these measures.
