Russian manufacturers of veterinary drugs intend to arrange supplies of vaccines to the Sri Lankan market. The press service of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) has provided an overview of the 37th session of the Regional Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization for Asia and the Pacific, held in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
It is noted that the Sri Lankan as a country has expressed interest in testing Russian vaccines for farm animals and poultry. Rosselkhoznadzor representatives have confirmed their readiness to assess Sri Lanka’s requirements for immunological medications once a request is received.
Apart from vaccines, Russia has proposed the option of providing Sri Lanka with animal feed and additives, as well as live, chilled, and frozen fish, caviar, invertebrates and their processed products, and meat from pigs and poultry, along with non-food products from animal production.
