Demand for voluntary health insurance in the employer’s social package has increased in Russia

The importance of having a voluntary health insurance policy (VHI) as part of the social benefits offered by employers to jobseekers in Russia are increasing significantly. In 2023, this statement was true for 60% of respondents, while in 2022 only 47% of respondents named VHI as the main advantage.
According to the majority of respondents, the main advantages of having voluntary health insurance in a company are the professionalism of the doctors and the opportunity to consult with specialized specialists. 62% of Russians voted for these signs, taking into account the possibility of multiple choice. Respondents also mentioned the availability of voluntary insurance policies as a crucial advantage when it comes to attending physical procedures and undergoing an annual body check-up.
One-third of the respondents also stressed the significance of hospitalization services in private medical centers and premium wards of public clinics. In addition, it is crucial for Russians to have the ability to quickly summon an ambulance, gain access to round-the-clock support from medical professionals, and have options for including their relatives in their VHI coverage..
