Within the framework of cooperation, Russian and Belarusian doctors plan to conduct joint clinical trials of drugs and subsequently start their production, TASS writes with reference to Mikhail Murashko, Russia’s Minister of Health.

A meeting of the joint board of the Ministries of Health of Belarus and Russia was held in Minsk. According to Murashko, the main areas of cooperation between the countries in the field of healthcare are medical education, research, medical products development, as well as work aimed at eliminating infectious diseases.

“As part of the cooperation between our countries, we plan to conduct clinical trials of drugs and subsequently launch their production,” Mikhail Murashko said.

He noted that the plan includes, in particular, joint production of drugs for transplantology, as well as some innovative drugs. Recently, Russia and Belarus have completed a joint project on the development of implants for the treatment of orthopedic problems in children. The development has already been implemented and is now produced, Mr. Murashko added.
