By the end of summer 2023, a service for preferential provision of RX will be launched in St. Petersburg, the service for booking a drug at a pharmacy will be also available. The development of the service is currently in the testing phase.
In this project, it will be possible to create a personal account for each user, in total there are 580 000 potential users of the service in St. Petersburg, now 53 city pharmacies are issuing RX for them. “We are checking how the service works now. We need a few more months to complete it,” – said Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Information and Communications of the city Dmitry Kuzmin.
Andrey Sarana, deputy chairman of the city health committee, in 2022 have already announced that such kind of booking service will appear in St. Petersburg in near future. “There are cases when a person calls a pharmacy, and while he is traveling from one part of the city to another, the medicine is bought up,” he explained to the local TV channel. Presumably, the reservation will be valid for several hours or a day.
