Kaluga Region and Pharmasyntez signed three investment agreements worth more than 20 billion rubles

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Governor of the Kaluga Oblast (region in Russia), Vladislav Shapsha, and Oleg Astafurov, Vice President for Government Relations of the Pharmasyntez Group of Companies have signed tree agreements with a total investment of more than 20 billion rubles.

The Russian pharmaceutical company plans to build a large complex for the production of APIs and finished dosage forms in the Vorotynsk industrial park, construction is planned on the basis of the new Pharmasyntez-Kaluga enterprise where 19 production and auxiliary facilities will be built. More than 20 billion rubles will be invested in the project and also 2,000 new jobs will be created in the new complex until 2032.

The project also plans to build a plant for the production of APIs by 2026. “We will invest 4 billion rubles and create 160 new jobs. The plant will produce a wide range of APIs, including oncological ones, which will almost completely cover all the needs of Russian healthcare system and will also be exported abroad,” the statement says. It is also planned to launch an enterprise for the production of finished dosage forms by 2026. The amount of investments will be about 3.5 billion rubles. The new enterprise will create 200 new jobs.
